Park the machine on a hard, level surface. Lower the scraper bowl to the ground. Chock the wheels in order to prevent the machine from moving.

Place Tooling (A) under the rear of the scraper, as shown. Raise the scraper until the rear wheels are off the ground.

Remove 18 nuts (1) and the washers that secure tire and rim (2) to the wheel. Loosen the last two nuts that secure the tire and rim to the wheel. Do not remove the nuts at this time.

Attach Tooling (B), a nylon lifting strap and a lift truck to tire and rim (2), as shown. Remove the two nuts and the washers from the tire and rim. Remove the tire and rim from the machine. The tire and rim weighs 1036 kg (2284 lb).
