Install ring (18) and spring pin (17) to shaft (15).

Partially install spring pin (16) into shaft (15).

Install spring pin (16) and shaft (15) to steering control (1).

Install plate (14) to steering control (1).

Install bolts (4) and plate (12) on top of plate (14).
Install the washers and nuts (13).
Apply Tooling (A) to shaft (15).

Install spacer (11) and ring (10). Apply Tooling (A) to spacer (11).
Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.

Install the key, spring (9), and torque arm (7).
Install tubes (8).
Apply Tooling (A) to the top of torque arm (7).

Install dowel pins (6) to plate (5).

Install plate (5) and tighten bolts (4).

(X) Orient the shaft to 11 degrees.

Install the O-ring seal to position sensor (2).
Verify that the shaft is orientated to dimension (X). Apply Tooling (B) to screws (3). Install position sensor (2), the washers, and screws (3) to steering control (1). Tighten screws (3) to a torque of 1 0.25 N m (0.74 0.18 lb ft). End By:
