With the engine off, loosen bolts (2) and remove cover (1) .

For maximum engine performance and maximum utilization of your engine, inspect the belt for wear and for cracking. Replace the belt, if necessary.
Insert a ratchet with a square drive into the square hole that is located in the belt tensioner (4) .
Rotate the belt tensioner (4) clockwise in order to relieve tension on the belt.
Remove the belt.
Install the new belt correctly, as shown.
Rotate the belt tensioner (4) counterclockwise in order to apply tension to the belt. The correct tension will automatically be applied.
Be sure that the belt is fully seated on the pulleys.
Install the cover (1) and bolts (2) .
Close the engine right-hand access door.
