1. Release the pressure in air spring (1).2. Using a lift truck, raise the rear of the bogie suspension.3. Remove bolts (3), and use two persons to remove two outer and two inner rollers (2) from the rear axle assembly. The weight of each roller is 30 kg (65 lb). Place a wood block under rear axle assembly to prevent excessive stretching of air spring (1). 4. Using a strap and a suitable lifting device raise the front of the bogie suspension.5. Remove bolts (4), and use two persons to remove two outer and two inner rollers (5) from the axle assembly. The weight of each roller is 30 kg (65 lb). Place a wood block under axle assembly to prevent excessive stretching of air spring (1). 6. Remove four bolts (7) and the washers, and remove track roller guard (6). The weight of the track roller guard is 30 kg (65 lb). 7. Fasten a nylon strap around rear bogie assembly (9) to the fork of a lift truck as shown. Lift up rear bogie assembly (9) to compress air spring (1). Remove four nuts (8) and the washers, and lower rear bogie assembly (9). Remove air spring (1). The cap and core assembly in the air spring must be removed to compress air out of the air spring. After removing air spring (1) the wood blocks can be removed from under the axle assemblies. 8. Remove eight nuts and washers (12) and four U-bolts (11) that hold two axle assemblies (13) to rear bogie assembly (9) and front bogie assembly (10). 9. Use straps and a suitable lifting device to raise rear bogie assembly (9) away from axle assembly (13). Remove axle assembly (13). The weight of the axle assembly is 102 kg (215 lb). Repeat step 9 to remove the other axle assembly. 10. Remove six bolts (14) and plate (15). 11. Remove three bolts (16) and plate (17). 12. Using a lift truck remove front bogie assembly (10). The weight of the front bogie assembly is 47 kg (104 lb). 13. Using a lift truck remove rear bogie assembly (9). The weight of the rear bogie assembly is 70 kg (154 lb). 14. If necessary, remove oil seal (18) from axle support (19). The following steps are for the installation of the bogie suspensions.15. Install oil seal (18) on axle support (19).16. Using a lift truck install rear bogie assembly (9) and front bogie assembly (10) on the axle support.17. Install plate (17) with bolts (16).18. Apply 6V5765 Sealant between front bogie housing (10) and plate (15). Install plate (15) with bolts (14).19. Attach axle assemblies (13) to bogie assemblies (9) and (10) with U-bolts (11) and nuts and washers (12).20. Put air spring (1) in position on the bogie assemblies. Raise the rear of the bogie suspension to compress the air spring. Install the washers and four nuts (8). Tighten the nuts to a torque of 33 7 N m (24
