The 285-6670 Pyrometer is usually installed on the instrument panel at the factory. However, some installations are retrofitted. The 190-0398 Parts Kit contains all of the hardware that is needed for the installation.Canadian Standards Association (CSA) RequirementWhen the pyrometer is installed in a suitable enclosure, the pyrometer is designed to meet the requirements for "CLASS I, DIVISION 2, GROUP D" environments.Use the following instructions to install a pyrometer onto an instrument panel for replacement of an older pyrometer. Illustration 1 shows the dimensions of the pyrometer.

Alternatively, the pyrometer is attached to a suitable flat surface at a height that is convenient for viewing. Install the scanner so that the display is not in direct sunlight.The operational temperature range of the display is −20 to 75 °C (−4 to 167 °F).
