Component Code(s) 7324SUBJECT: A CLAMP MAY DAMAGE THE AIR SPRING IN THE AIR SUSPENSION
SEAT ON CERTAIN EXCAVATORS
PROBLEM:
The incorrect position of the clamp for the compressor and the hose may rub on the air spring. The clamp rubs against the air spring and the air spring develops a leak. The seat will drift down, if the air spring leaks.
SOLUTION:
If the seat drifts down because the air spring leaks, install a new 194-4283 Air Spring Kit in place of the former 194-4283 Air Spring Kit. Rotate the clamp in order to make sure that the clamp is positioned correctly. The screw for the clamp must be horizontal and above the air spring. Do not remove the clamp. The clamp secures the wires. Loose wires could potentially be cut during the movement of the seat. The illustrations show a damaged air spring and the correct position of the clamp.
