Remove the bolt (22) in order to remove the back cover (23). Refer to Illustration 19.

Remove the floor mat (24). Refer to Illustration 20.

Remove the bolt (25) in order to remove the cover (26). Refer to Illustration 21.Removal of the Arm Assembly and the Motor Assembly

Remove the harness connector (27) .
Remove the 6V-8231 Nut (33) and then remove the 161-3668 Wiper Arm As (34) .
Remove the 7Y-3470 Nut (32) which is outside of the cab.
Remove the two 9X-2044 Screw (29) which support the motor shaft inside of the cab.
Remove the four 8T-4134 Nut (31) and remove the motor assembly.Installation of the Motor Assembly

Wiper motor (27) Connector

(28) Motor shaft (29) 9X-2044 Screw (30) 245-7931 Motor As (31) 8T-4134 Nut (32) 7Y-3470 Nut
Insert the motor shaft of 245-7931 Motor As (30) into the cab side.
By using four 8T-4134 Nut (31), install the motor assembly. Torque the nuts to 5.2 1.0 N m (46.02 9 lb in).
By using two 9X-2044 Screw (29), secure the motor shaft on the inside of the cab. Torque the screws to 11.8 3.0 N m (9 2.21 lb ft).
By using a 7Y-3470 Nut (32), secure the motor shaft on the outside of the cab. Torque the nut to 12 1 N m (9 0.74 lb ft).
Reconnect the harness connector (27) .Installation of the Arm Assembly

Operate the motor by turning the wiper switch to the ON position and stopping the motor.Note: The motor will stop in free condition.
Slightly tighten 6V-8231 Nut (33) which secures the arm assembly, and then temporarily assembly the arm (34). Refer to Illustration 27 for dimentions of gap between the nozzle (T) and th blade (V) .
Install the 161-3668 Wiper Arm As (34) after fully tightening the 6V-8231 Nut (33) .Note: Be careful not to move the motor shaft. Torque the nut to 14 2 N m (10.33 2 lb ft). Re-install the covers that were removed earlier.
