3500 Family Of EnginesDescription of Change: New engine oil cooler core groups with rubber end sheets are used in the 3500 Family of Engines. The former engine oil cooler core assemblies had brazed end sheets. The rubber end sheets allow the new coolers to absorb vibration and provide increased service life. The end housings used in the new oil cooler groups are different from the former end housings in order to match up to the new oil cooler bypass housing and oil lines.Adaptable To: Chart A lists the new and former engine oil cooler core groups and the engine models they are used on. The new engine oil cooler core groups are not direct replacements for the former engine oil cooler core assemblies. Charts B,C, and D show when the new engine oil cooler core groups are in effect. The new engine oil cooler core groups are not adaptable to earlier engines.
