This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.Note: Put identification marks on all lines, on all hoses, on all wires, and on all tubes for installation purposes. Plug all lines, hoses, and tubes. This helps to prevent fluid loss and this helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to the front of drive shaft (1).

Attach Tooling (A), Tooling (B), and a suitable lifting device to the rear of drive shaft (1), as shown. The weight of drive shaft (1) is approximately 86 kg (190 lb). Remove bolts (3) in order to separate the U-joint from the yoke (2) in the front of the drive shaft (1). Remove bolts (3) in order to separate the U-joint from the yoke (4) in the rear of the drive shaft (1). Lower the front of the drive shaft (1) first. Then lower the rear of the drive shaft (1). Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to the front of drive shaft (1). Attach Tooling (A), Tooling (B), and a suitable lifting device to the rear of drive shaft (1), as shown. The weight of drive shaft (1) is approximately 86 kg (190 lb).
Raise the rear of the drive shaft (1). Then raise the front of the drive shaft (1). Connect the U-joint to the yoke (4) in the rear of the drive shaft (1) and install bolts (3) . Connect the U-joint to the yoke (2) in the front of the drive shaft (1) and install bolts (3). Remove drive shaft (1).
