Determine the difference between the readings that were recorded in Step 3. Record the difference as dimension (X) .
Repeat Step 2.
Position the machine as it is shown in Illustration 4. Record the readings of dial indicators (B) and (C) .

Determine the difference between the readings recorded in Step 6. Record this difference as dimension (Y) .
The axial movement of the swing bearing equals dimension (X) plus dimension (Y) .
