Information:
Remove & Install Air Compressor
Do not disconnect the air line from the air compressor governor until the air pressure is zero.
1. Loosen the bleed valves, and release the air pressure in the air tank. 2. Disconnect oil line (1) and air line (2) from the air compressor.3. Disconnect water lines (3) from the air compressor.4. Remove two nuts (5), bolt (4) and nut (7) that hold the air compressor to the accessory drive.5. Remov air compressor (6). The following steps are for installation of the air compressor.6. Install a new gasket on air compressor (6). Put the air compressor in position on the accessory drive. Install the two nuts (5), bolt (4) and nut (7) that hold it.7. Connect the two water lines (3) to the air compressor.
To prevent water from collecting and freezing in the air compressor lines, make sure the discharge line and the governor line are sloping downward away from the air compressor.
8. Connect oil line (1) and air line (2) to the air compressor.
