(1) Engine air precleaner cover
(2) Upper baffle and gasket
(3) Lower baffle
(4) Screen

(6) Retainers
Loosen retainers (6) on the metal pipe. Remove retaining clamp on the scavenge hose (not shown).
Remove the engine air precleaner and turn the unit upside down.
Remove six screws (5) that hold the remaining components of the precleaner assembly together.
Disassemble the precleaner including the cover (1), upper baffle with gasket (2), lower baffle (3), and screen (4).
Clean all components with water or compressed air as needed.
Reassemble the precleaner assembly in reverse order. Unit has alignment guides to aide reassembly.
Add blue Loc-Tite to each long screw upon reassembly.
The gasket in top plate must be positioned properly upon reassembly.
Replace the engine air precleaner on the metal pipe. Install retaining clamps on precleaner and scavenge hose.Precleaner Assembly With Screen

Loosen the two screen retaining clamps (1) and (2) and slide the screen down the metal tube.

Loosen the precleaner retainer clamp (3) on metal pipe. Remove the retaining clamp on the scavenge hose (4).
Remove the engine air precleaner and turn the unit upside down.

Remove six screws (5) that hold the precleaner assembly together.
Disassemble the precleaner including the cover (8), upper baffle with gasket (7), and lower baffle (6).
Clean all components with water or compressed air as needed.
Reassemble the precleaner assembly in reverse order. Unit has alignment guides to aide reassembly.
Add blue Loc-Tite to each long screw upon reassembly.
The gasket in top plate must be positioned properly upon reassembly.
Replace the engine air precleaner on metal pipe. Install retaining clamps on precleaner and scavenge hose. Refer to Illustration 4.
Slide the screen back into position on the precleaner assembly. Reconnect the two clamps. Refer to Illustration 5.
