EID 1241 Long Range Object Detection Sensor #1 Rotational Speed Not Responding to CommandFollow this procedure if a EID 1241 Long Range Object Detection Sensor #1 Rotational Speed Not Responding to Command event occurs. When this event code is activated, the AMT will come to a complete controlled stop. This event code is caused when the LiDAR sensor on the front of the machine is not spinning correctly. This event code could be triggered by various situations where an object brushing up against and slowing or preventing the LiDAR from spinning appropriately, or by physical damage to the sensor.Test Step 1. VISUALLY INSPECT THE LIDAR SENSOR FOR ABLE DISRUPTION OF ROTATION.
Ensure that the truck is parked in a level location and keyed OFF. Expected Result:Blockage visually apparent.Results:
Dust, mud, ice, or other debris is visibly preventing the LiDAR from spinning at appropriate rate. - Proceed to Test Step 2.
No visible blockage or obstruction can be seen. - Proceed to Test Step 4.Test Step 2. CLEAN LIDAR SENSOR LENSES.
Remove any loose debris from lens or enclosure.
Using a non-abrasive soap and water gently clean debris from glass. Note: Be extremely careful to avoid scratching glass.
Inspect to ensure that the glass is clear of any debris, scratches, or other obstructions. Expected Result:LiDAR sensor is clean of debris and clear of any visible blockage or scratches.Results:

LiDAR sensor is clean of debris but a visible scratch was discovered on the lens. - Proceed to Test Step 3.
LiDAR sensor cannot be cleaned. The cause of the problem is uncertain. Contact Caterpillar technical support with the information that has been gathered. - STOPTest Step 3. PERFORM A PERCEPTION SYSTEM CALIBRATION.
Perform a perception system calibration if glass is scratched. The procedure is available in Special Instruction, REHS8845, "Autonomous Calibration Procedure for CMD4.1 on the 793F CMD Off-Highway Truck". Expected Result:Calibration procedure successfully completes.Results:

LISTEN FOR GRINDING OR OTHER UNEXPECTED SOUND FROM LIDAR SENSOR.Listen for grinding or other unexpected sound from LiDAR sensor.Expected Result:Unexpected noise heard.Results:

No sounds can be heard from LiDAR. - Proceed to Test Step 5.Test Step 5. VERIFY ALL ELECTRICAL PLUGS AND CONNECTIONS IN PLACE AND SECURED.Verify all electrical plugs and connections in place and secured.Expected Result:Loose or severed connection is corrected.Results:
