The 161-9932 Pressure Sensor is an option for Marine Engines that are equipped with ZF transmissions. The 161-9932 Pressure Sensor is used to provide input to electronic display systems. The installation location of the 161-9932 Pressure Sensor is important to the reliability of the sensor.Do NOT install the 161-9932 Pressure Sensor in the transmission. If the sensor is installed in the transmission, pressure spikes could cause the sensor to fail.The correct installation location for the 161-9932 Pressure Sensor is on the oil inlet to the marine transmission oil cooler. The oil line from the transmission to the oil cooler acts as a damper to minimize pressure spikes from the transmission. When the 161-9932 Pressure Sensor is mounted on the oil inlet to the marine transmission oil cooler, the sensor will have less of a tendency to fail.
