Attach.(1-Rework Procedure)Rework Procedure
Good planning is necessary to complete this rework in a manner which avoids rework and accomplishes the change in a minimum amount of labor hours. Normal procedures are either to remove the ROPS and adjacent parts; or to remove the engine/transmission module. Some dealers have an established procedure to remove and install these skidder transmissions and that can be followed. If you do not have an established procedure that facilitates this work, removing the ROPS is the recommended way. It is not necessary to remove all hydraulic components separately to gain access to the transmission. The hydraulic tank and much of the valving can be removed as a package along with the ROPS and platform. The steering cylinders do not have to be removed but one end has to be disconnected to swing the cylinders back out of the way to clear the transmission. There have been problems with the governor control pedal contacting the floor plate before the engine reaches high idle settings. When assembling, make sure the governor control rods are adjusted to provide adequate clearance with the floor. Make certain that the radiator cap will retain at least 5psi pressure on a tester with a wet cap. If the cap does not hold pressure the system will lose water and can overheat. Also, the normal radiator water level is not at the bottom of the neck as it is with many cooling systems. The normal level is down about an inch on the baffle below the bottom of the neck.

Installing The New 1113406 Torque Converter Group And Housing
1. Remove the ROPS and operator's platform along with the hydraulic tank and much of the hydraulic valving and lines.2. Following the procedures in the Service Manual, remove the transmission and torque converter.3. Remove the flywheel from the engine and clean thoroughly.4. Machine the flywheel to the dimensions shown in Illustration 1. When cutting back the inside face of the flywheel to increase the depth of the counterbored area, cut the relief behind the splines to the full diameter at the spline root, not
