Beneath the operator compartment (8) Check and relief valve (steering) (9) Steering control valveThe servo pilot system controls the movement of the valve spool in steering control valve (9). The servo pilot system includes the following components:
Steering metering pump (10)
Servo cylinder (1)
Check and relief valve (steering) (8) Pump oil from steering control valve (9) is always available at steering metering pump (10). The steering metering pump is a metering pump and a directional pump. The steering metering pump sends pilot oil through check and relief valve (steering) (8) when the steering wheel is rotated. Then, the oil flows to the steering control valve. Servo cylinder (1) hydraulically feels the movement of the articulation. When the steering wheel is turned and the machine starts to turn, the displaced oil from the servo cylinder balances the oil that is flowing through the steering metering pump. When the steering wheel is stopped, the displaced oil from the servo cylinder flows to the steering control valve. The steering control valve spool moves stopping the turn at the desired time. The servo cylinder also feels steering movement when an outside force turns the machine. The displaced oil from the servo cylinder flows to the steering control valve. The steering control valve spool moves in order to make a steering correction.Check and relief valve (8) will perform the following task:
Supply makeup oil to the servo pilot system.
Protect the system from high pressures.
Provide a system without the servo in the event of a failure.The steering system consists of the following components:
Steering pump (6)
Screen group (3)
Steering control valve (9)
Hydraulic tank (4) The oil for the steering system is sent from the steering pump (6) through screen group (3) to steering control valve (9). Part of the oil flows through the steering control valve and into check and relief valve (steering) (8). This oil flow charges the servo pilot system. The oil flow also supplies makeup oil for the servo pilot system.The oil for the servo pilot system moves the spool for the steering control valve in position for a LEFT or RIGHT turn. The oil from steering pump (6) will flow to the steering cylinders. The flow of this oil causes the machine to turn.
