A plate that is 7 mm (0.28 inch) thick will need to be welded to bucket stop (1). The length and width of the plate should match the dimensions of the bucket stop. Weld on four sides of the plate. Achieve a minimum weld penetration of 5 mm (0.2 inch).

Mark the position of the lower edge of stop blocks (2) on the bucket of the F series wheel loader. Remove stop blocks (2) from the bucket.

(A) 42.2 mm (1.66 inch). (B) 30.1 mm (1.19 inch). (C) 150 mm (5.9 inch). (D) 60 mm (2.4 inch).
Two new stop blocks will need to be manufactured. The dimensions of the stop blocks are shown in Illustration 3. Manufacture the stop block from any type of mild steel that can be welded.

Position the stop block 49.6 mm (1.95 inch) from the point that was marked in Step 3. The position is shown in Illustration 5.
Weld the new stop block to the bucket. Weld along the two long sides. Achieve a weld penetration of 6 mm (0.24 inch).
Paint the areas that were welded.
