Introduction
Illustration 4 g03399719
The handle assembly tool (399-9725) is used to safely and efficiently lift the SCR catalysts (399-9851 and 399-9852) without damage to the catalyst, machine, or engine. The tool will be used with the 12 inch SCR Catalyst Substrate Drum (399-9851 and 399-9852). The assembly is made of steel and easy to install. Before lifting, make sure that the tool is safely secured to the 12 inch SCR substrate drum (399-9851 and 399-9852).

Operation
Personal injury or death can result from lifting a heavy component. The heavy component can fall if using an incorrect hoist and/or sling or fastener to lift the load.Be sure the hoist and other devices have the correct lifting capacity to lift a heavy component. The approximate weight of the heavy component is given below.
Failure to comply to the rated load can cause possible personal injury or attachment damage.Review the rated load of a particular attachment before performing any operation. Make adjustments to the rated load as necessary.
The SCR Catalyst Lifting Device weighs 1 kg (2.2 lb).Note: Use only with 12 inch Substrate Drum (399-9851 and 399-9852).

Identify the load and weight of the machine component to be lifted. Do not exceed the Working Load Limit (WLL) of 60 kg (132 lb).
Inspect the Handle Assembly (399-9725) and all related hardware before each use. Immediately replace any worn or damaged components.
Fit the Handle Assembly (399-9725) to brackets on the SCR.
Secure 421-5660 Lifting Eyebolt Assembly to the Handle Assembly (399-9725).
Before lifting, make sure that the Handle Assembly is safely secured to the 12 inch SCR Catalyst.
To avoid injury do not stand on or between implement and machine while operating lift control.
Note: The WLL of the hoist or lifting device used for this step should be more than the weight of the machine component being lifted and all the tooling used to lift it.
Follow the information in the specific Disassembly and Assembly Service Manual for the machine component to be lifted.
Tighten all bolts to standard torque.Inspection and Maintenance Section
Inspection
Inspect tooling prior to each use for damage, bending, nicks, burrs, dents, cracks, bent or worn parts. If damage is found, destroy the tool and dispose of as scrap. Replace damaged tool with new product.
Do not use unless the Working Load Limit (WLL) identification markings are legible.
Do not use if any holes are elongated or deformed.
Have the tool inspected annually by an approved dealership inspector.Cleaning
Clean the tooling using a non-solvent based cleaner.Storage
Store the tooling in a clean, dry location to prevent rust or corrosion. Tooling can be damaged by moisture or high humidity.
The tool should be stored in the most stable
