PROBLEM
The existing final drive spindle wheel bearing journals can experience excessive wear during the first life on certain 785C Off-Highway Trucks.

ACTION REQUIRED
This letter is only to be used during the Rebuild of the wheel groups.
All spindles must be inspected and evaluated against the Reuse And Salvage Guidelines Media SEBF8443 before determining their reusability.
If the final drive spindle wheel bearing journals do not conform to the published guidelines the spindle will require replacing.
CRC Quality Assurance Technicians are to document the final drive spindle wheel bearing journal wear in the Dealer CRC Tear Down Report.
