Information:

Remove Spacer Plates
Start By:a. remove cylinder heads
Typical Example1. Remove water seals (1) from the spacer plate.
Typical Example-Photo shows forcing screws (2) (old method) for removal of the spacer plate, refer to Step 2 for correct procedure (new method).2. Use a putty knife or similar tool at recesses between bores and corners to remove spacer plate (5) from its doweled location. Remove the gasket.3. Remove the O-ring seals from locations (3) and (4) under the spacer plate.Install Spacer Plates
1. Make sure the spacer plate and the machined surface of the cylinder block are clean and free of dirt and foreign material.
Both surfaces of the spacer plate gasket and the top of the cylinder block must be clean. Do not use a gasket adhesive on these surfaces.
Typical Example2. Put a new gasket (2) over the dowels and install O-ring seals (1) on the cylinder block.
Typical Example3. Install spacer plate (3).4. Install new water seals in the spacer plate.5. Check the cylinder liner projection. See the topic "Cylinder Liner Projection" in Specifications Manual, SENR5516.End By:a. install cylinder heads
