(10) "P"Clips
Remove the two "P" clips (10) securing the harness. Retain the two "P" clips (10) for installation of new part. Refer to Illustration 6.
Place the selector in the "N" position.

Remove the four screws to the shift control handle. Refer to Illustration 7.

Remove the shift control handle by pulling the four clipped wires and discard selector. Retain the rubber harness isolator (11) and the two "P" clips (10) for installation of the new part. Refer to Illustration 8.

Remove the four screws securing the shift control indicator. Remove the indicator and install the new shift control indicator with the retained four screws. Refer to Illustration 9.Note: Refer to Illustration 1 and Illustration 2 for proper shift indicator applications.
Install the new shift control handle harness wires by inserting wires through the metal harness tube.
Install 422-6883 Handle As (2) and tighten the four screws to a torque of 0.50 0.03 N m (4.43 0.27 lb in).

Reinstall harness isolator tube (11) and secure with the two P-clips (10). Refer to Illustration 10.Note: Operate the shift control handle through all detent positions to insure there is no interference to the rubber harness isolator tube and moving parts. Refer to Illustration 10.

Crimp a 8T-8729 Connector Pin to each new shift control handle harness wire and insert each wire into 151-9276 Receptacle As . For wires and locations refer to Illustration 12.Procedure to remove and replace 388-4316 Modular Handle Gp and 423-4043 Indicator

Remove the rubber cap (12) and the six screws (13) securing the hoist control handle and discard handle. Refer to Illustration 13.

Remove the four screws securing the hoist control indicator and install new 423-4043 Indicator (4). Refer to Illustration 14.
Install new 388-4316 Modular Handle Gp (3) and tighten the six screws (13) to a torque of 0.50 0.03 N m (4.43 0.27 lb in).
Attach the rubber cap to top of hoist control handle using Loctite 380 Black Max.Reinstallation of Transmission Control Group Assembly

Completed Transmission Control Assembly
Reinstall the transmission control group assembly and tighten the bolts. Reverse step 2 through step 6 in order to complete the installation procedure. Refer to Illustration 15.
Refer to the information "Prepare the Machine for Maintenance and Shut Down Procedure" in the Operation and Maintenance Manual for the machine that you are servicing. Restore machine to normal operation condition.
Maintain system functions to specifications.
