Removal Procedure
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Disconnect hose assemblies (2) and (3) from prelubrication pump (1).

Disconnect harness assemblies (4) and (5). Remove nuts (7), the washers, and bolts (6). Remove prelubrication pump (1). The weight of prelubrication pump (1) is approximately 21 kg (45 lb). Attach a suitable lifting device to the bracket (10). The weight of bracket (10) is approximately 47 kg (102 lb). Remove nuts (8), bolts (9), and the washers. Remove bracket (10). Attach a suitable lifting device onto bracket (10). The weight of bracket (10) is approximately 47 kg (102 lb). Position bracket (10). Install the washers, bolts (9), and nuts (8).
Position prelubrication pump (1). Install bolts (6), the washers, and nuts (7).
Connect harness assemblies (4) and (5).

Connect hose assemblies (2) and (3) to prelubrication pump (1).
