Remove the inlet and exhaust valves. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Inlet and Exhaust Valves - Remove and Install".
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Use Tooling (A) and a hammer in order to remove the inlet and exhaust valve guides from the cylinder head. Installation Procedure

Use clean engine oil on the outside diameter of the valve guide. Install the valve guide with Tooling (A) and Tooling (B).
Install the valve guides until the valve guides extend 32.3 0.8 mm (1.27 0.03 inch) from the surface of the cylinder head. For more information on the inlet and exhaust valve guides, refer to Specification, "Cylinder Head Valves". End By:
Install the inlet and exhaust valves. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Inlet and Exhaust Valves - Remove and Install".
