Assembly Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Note: Lubricate all internal parts of the engine oil pump with clean engine oil.
Install drive shaft (4) in the pump housing.
Raise the temperature of gear (5) .
Install gear (5) on the end of drive shaft (4). Position the gear so the distance between the outside face of the gear and the step face on the pump body is 29.40 0.50 mm (1.158 0.020 inch).
Install idler gear (7) in the pump housing.
Install O-ring seal (6) in cover (3) .

Install cover (3) and bolts (2) .
Install the O-ring seals and elbow (1) on the engine oil pump.
The pump must rotate freely by hand after assembly.
End By: Install the engine oil pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Oil Pump - Install".
