3. Connect link (2) to lever (3) with pin (4) and a cotter pin. 4. Install gasket (6) and cover (5) on the housing with six bolts. 5. Install two tubes (8) and (9) and clip (10). Install brake control rod (7) with two pins and cotter pins. 6. Put shaft (12) in cover (11). Install the cover, bracket (14) and gasket (13) on each brake hydraulic mechanism housing with four bolts. 7. Install spring (17) on bracket (14) and lever (16). Install pin (19) and spring (18) on lever (20) on each brake hydraulic mechanism. Install angle bracket (15) with a bolt. 8. Install a hoist on batteries and support assembly (22) as shown. Install the support on the fender with four bolts. Install ground cable clip (21) to the support with a bolt.9. Make adjustments to the brakes and parking brake. start by:a) remove brake hydraulic controls and actuating mechanisms 1. Remove cotter pin, pin (1) and link assembly (2). 2. Remove spring (3). Remove bolt (5), nut and clip (4).
Cover (7) is under spring pressure.
3. Remove four bolts (6) and remove cover (7). 4. Pull shaft and key (8) out of lever (9). Turn shaft until the key can be removed. Remove the key, then remove the shaft from the lever. Remove the lever from the housing. 5. Remove plunger assembly (10) and two springs (11). 6. Remove ring (12) and retainer (16) from plunger (13). Remove ring (15), valve (18), spring (14) and plunger (17) from plunger (13). 7. Remove pin (19) with a hammer and punch. Pull lever and shaft assembly (21) out of the housing and pawl (20). Remove the pawl from the housing. 8. Remove plugs (22), (24), (25) and (26) with tooling (A). Remove pin which fastens the ratchet shaft to the housing. Remove cotter pin and pin to disconnect the ratchet from lever assembly (23). 9. Remove the plug with tooling (A) and push ratchet shaft (27) out of the housing. Remove ratchet (28) from housing. Remove plug (29) from housing with tooling (A). 10. Remove plug (30) with tooling (A). Remove the pin which fastens the lever shaft to the housing. Push the lever shaft out of the housing. 11. Remove lever (23) and link assembly from the housing. 12. Remove cotter pin and pin (31). Remove links (33) and roller (32) from the lever. 13. Remove the bearing from the lever assembly with tooling (B). 14. Remove piston (34) and the spring from the housing. 15. Push sleeve (35) out of the housing with soft punch (aluminum or brass) and hammer. 16. Remove seal (36) and seal (37). Remove two bearings from the brake actuating shaft bore in the housing.Assemble Brake Hydraulic Controls And Actuating Mechanisms
Push bearings (1) on the identification (stamped) end only.
