Investigate the travel route for overpass clearances. Make sure there is adequate clearance for the machine being transported.To prevent the machine from slipping while loading, or shifting in transit, remove ice, snow, or other slippery material from the loading dock and the truck bed before loading.
Obey all state and local laws governing the weight, width, and length of a load.Observe all regulations governing wide loads.
1. Block the trailer or rail car wheels before loading (trailer shown). 2. Lower all attachments to the floor of the transport machine. Move all implement controls to the neutral position.3. Move the transmission control lever to neutral.4. Engage the transmission lever lock.5. Engage the parking brake control and push down the brake pedal.6. Stop the engine.7. Turn the key start switch to OFF and remove the key.8. Turn the battery disconnect switch to OFF and remove the key.9. Lock the door, access covers and attach any vandalism protection.10. Secure the machine with tie-downs when transporting on a rail car or a tractor-trailer.11. Cover the exhaust opening. Turbocharger (if equipped) damage can result if turbocharger rotates without the engine operating.Machine Lifting/Tiedown Information
