Stop the engine, lower the bucket to the ground, move all control levers backward and forward to release the pressure in the hydraulic system. Slowly, loosen the cap to release any pressure in the hydraulic tank. Let the hydraulic oil become cool before any lines are disconnected in the hydraulic system.
1. Remove oil lines (1) and (2). 2. Fasten a hoist to the tilt cylinder. Remove fitting (5).3. Remove bolt (4) that holds pin (3) for the head end of the tilt cylinder in place. Remove pin (3). Remove the plate (not shown) on each side of the head end of the tilt cylinder. 4. Remove bolt (7) that holds pin (8) for the rod end of the tilt cylinder in the front levers. Remove pin (8). Remove the plate on each side of the rod end of the tilt cylinder. Remove tilt cylinder (6). The weight is 45 Kg. (100 lb.). The following steps are for installation of the tilt cylinders5. Put 5P960 Multipurpose Grease in the bores for the pins.6. Fasten a hoist and put the tilt cylinder in position.7. Put a plate in position on each side of the rod end of the tilt cylinder. Install pin (8) that holds the rod end of the tilt cylinder in the levers. Install the bolt (7) that holds pin (8) in place.8. Install a plate on each side of the head end of the tilt cylinder. Install pin (3) that holds the head end of the tilt cylinder in place. Install the bolt that holds pin (4) in place.9. Install fitting (5) in the threaded hole.10. Install oil lines (1) and (2) for the tilt cylinder.11. Fill the hydraulic system with oil to the correct level. See the Operation And Maintenance Manual. Put 5P960 Multipurpose Grease in the fittings for the head end and rod end bearings.End By: a. install bucket positioner (for the right side only)
