Remove the lateral covers on the main screed (C) and extender sections (D).

Disassemble the heater wires in the 3 junction boxes. Label the wires for later reassembly.

Use 2 threaded rods to maintain the frame spacing.Note: By maintaining this gap, will avoid the need to realign the frames when later reassembling the screed plates.

Disassemble all lock nuts and nuts that are holding the screed plates.

Lift the screed using the proper lift points.
Remove the studs from the plates. Clean the hole threads with an appropriate tap.Installation Procedure for 519-4359 Kit-Rework (Screed)

Install new studs 419-4909 using Loctite 272.
Tighten studs to 100 10 N m (73.8 7.4 lb ft)
Grind all the studs flush to the bottom of the plate.

Measure on the frame in correspondence of the stud hole for distance xx.

Assemble a stud package using 3 spacers 495-9832 and a quantity of shims 380-6293 and washers 7X-0584 to achieve a total height "XX" (tolerance 0/-0.5 mm (0/-0.02 inch).

Reassemble the heater and clamping plate to align the spacer flat face to the heater position.

Align the screed plates to the frames. Slowly lower the screed on to the screed plates and reassemble.

Tighten 329-3356 nuts on the screed frames (quantity 2 per stud):Tighten the 8 nuts indicated above (Center part of the main plate) to 50 N m (37 lb ft).
Tighten all the remaining nuts to 80 N m (59 lb ft).
Complete the screed assembly with the heater wires, temperature sensors, covers, and end gates.
