TKPH R (984)Consult the tire manufacturer to determine what the TKPH/TMPH rating is for the size of tire for the machine. For machine weights and axle splits, consult your latest payload study.Once this information has been obtained, follow the instructions below:Use Caterpillar Electronics Technician (ET) in order to access the programmable parameters. First select the "VIMS Main Module". Then select the "Configuration Menu". Refer to Table 23 for the nine additional programmable parameters that will be available.

Machine Tire Weight-Speed Machine Speed Limit TKPH/TMPH Machine Speed Limit Once the above information is complete, the TKPH/TMPH event structure will be set up.When the TKPH/TMPH rating for either front or rear exceeds the TKPH/TMPH value, a message will appear informing the operator to reduce speed. If the value is exceeded for 10 minutes, the maximum speed of the truck will become limited to allow the tires to cool down. This limit will not take effect until the operator has slowed to the new limit. The TKPH/TMPH Speed Manager will continue to monitor the tires. The operator will be able to release the speed limit when the tires have sufficiently cooled.Note: If traveling above the maximum speed limit imposed by TKPH/TMPH, the limit will not take effect until the operator goes below the set speed limit. For safety reasons, the truck will not automatically slow to the maximum speed dictated by TKPH/TMPH. After deactivation, the operator must press the "OK" key to return to normal operation.VIMS Product Support
