Remove the water pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Water Pump - Remove".
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Remove O-ring seals (4) and (5) from cover plate (3). Inspect the O-ring seals for wear or damage. If the O-ring seals are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.
Remove four bolts (2) that fasten cover plate (3) to water pump (1) .
Remove cover plate (3) from water pump (1) .

Remove hose nipple (6) and the O-ring seal from water pump (1). Inspect the O-ring seal for wear or damage. If the O-ring seal is worn or damaged, use a new part for replacement.
Remove three bolts (7) and remove elbow (8) from water pump (1) .

Remove O-ring seal (9) from elbow (8). Inspect the O-ring seal for wear or damage. If the O-ring seal is worn or damaged, use a new part for replacement.

Position the water pump in a press. Use spacer plates to level the water pump.
Use a suitable drive plate from Tool (A) and a press in order to push the shaft out of impeller (10). Remove impeller (10) from the water pump.

Note: Do not allow the shaft to fall to the floor when the shaft is removed.
Continue to push the shaft out of seal (11) and the water pump housing.

Remove seal (11) from the water pump housing with the handle from Tool (B) and a press.
