Use the jumper wire to connect terminal 1 to terminal 2 on the harness connector for the EFLP. Refer to Illustration 1.
Turn the keyswitch to the ON position. Do not start the engine.
Use the electronic service tool to check for an active 1075-6 diagnostic code.
Wait for at least 2 minutes for the EFLP to deactivate. Check for an active 1075-5 diagnostic code.
Turn the keyswitch to the OFF position.
Remove the jumper. Leave the connector for the EFLP disconnected.Expected Result:Results:
A 1075-6 diagnostic code was active with the jumper installed. - There are no faults in the wiring for the EFLP.Repair: Perform the following repair:
Install a replacement EFLP.
Reconnect the connector for the EFLP.
