Level 1 Diagnostic Code
Description - The diagnostic code with the lowest priority is the level 1 diagnostic code. The level one diagnostic code needs attention soon but the operator does not need to take immediate action. The level one diagnostic code will not damage the system. The level one diagnostic code does not affect the operational status at this time. Response - There is only one response of the ECM to the level one diagnostic code. The diagnostic code indicator will be flashing. There is no other response to the diagnostic code. The ECM will record the diagnostic code on the internal diagnostic code log. The diagnostic code can be viewed by accessing service mode. If the diagnostic code goes away or if the diagnostic code is corrected, the diagnostic code indicator will turn off. However, the diagnostic code remains stored on the diagnostic code log for future reference. The summarized response of the ECM to the level one diagnostic code is shown below:
The diagnostic code indicator flashes.Level 2 Diagnostic Code
Description - The diagnostic code of middle priority is the level two diagnostic code. The level two diagnostic code is used to notify the operator that there is a problem which requires the operator to change the present operation of the machine. The present operating process is undesirable or harmful. The level two diagnostic code can cause severe damage to system components if the operating condition does not change immediately. The diagnostic code must be corrected in order to resume normal system operation. Response - There are three responses of the ECM to the level two diagnostic code: The diagnostic code indicator on the controller will be flashing. The alarm will be beeping. Also, if the side of the machine with the level two diagnostic code is in the automatic operating mode, then the ECM will change the operating mode to the manual operating mode. The automatic operating mode will be disabled for the side with the diagnostic code. The ECM will record the diagnostic code on the internal diagnostic code log. The diagnostic code can be viewed by accessing service mode. If the diagnostic code goes away or the code is corrected, the following events will occur: The diagnostic code indicator will turn off. The alarm will stop. The automatic operating mode will be enabled. However, the diagnostic code remains stored on the diagnostic code log for future reference. The summarized response of the ECM to the level two diagnostic code is shown below:
The diagnostic code indicator flashes.
The alarm beeps.
The automatic operating mode is disabled.Level 3 Diagnostic Code
Description - The diagnostic code of highest priority is the level three diagnostic code. The level three diagnostic code is used to notify the operator that there is a severe problem and the system is no longer operational. If one side of the machine has a level three diagnostic code, then the other side of the machine will have the level three diagnostic code. The operator will not be
