Cylinders equipped with lock valves can remain pressurized for very long periods of time, even with the hoses removed.Failure to relieve pressure before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder can result in personal injury or death.Ensure all pressure is relieved before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder.

Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device on lift cylinder (1). The weight of lift cylinder (1) is approximately 200 kg (440 lb).

Position lift cylinder (6). Install caps (10) and install bolts (9). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 430 60 N m (315 45 lb ft).

Install spacers (3) and (5). Install pin (2), retainer (6), and bolt (4) .

Connect hose assemblies (7) to quick-drop valve (8). Tighten the bolts that fasten the half flanges to a torque of 50 10 N m (37 7 lb ft).
Remove the suitable lifting device and Tooling (A) .
Operate the lift cylinders for several cycles in order to purge air from the system. Fill the hydraulic tank. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil Level - Check".
