Cylinders equipped with lock valves can remain pressurized for very long periods of time, even with the hoses removed.Failure to relieve pressure before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder can result in personal injury or death.Ensure all pressure is relieved before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder.

(1) Use a 46 mm socket and torque the bolt. ... 1800 200 N m (1325 150 lb ft) (2) Lubricate sealing lips with a thin covering of the lubricant that is being sealed. (3) Apply Tooling (D) to the wiper seal groove before you assemble the wiper seal to the head. (4) Use Tooling (E) and lubricate the threads with clean grease. Torque the cylinder head to 600 130 N m (440 95 lb ft). (5) Install the bearing 7.4 0.5 mm (0.29 0.02 inch) below the face. (6) Install the bearing 7.7 0.5 mm (0.30 0.02 inch) below the face.Installation Procedure

Use a suitable lifting device in order to position wheel lean cylinder (3). The weight of wheel lean cylinder (3) is approximately 27 kg (60 lb).
Install retainer (8) and bolt (7) .Note: The gap between the rod end of wheel lean cylinder (3) and retainer (8) must be 0.76 mm (0.030 inch).
Lower the head end of wheel lean cylinder (3) downward. Install pin (6) .
Install retention plate (5) and bolts (4) .

Connect hose assemblies (2) .

Remove the wheel lean locking bolt and nut (1) .

Remove Tooling (A) .
Check the hydraulic oil level. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil Level - Check".
