Configure A Machine
Start the Display in Service mode.
From the "Setup Menu – Configuration" dialog, press the "Installation" soft key in order to list the items under the "Setup Menu – Installation" dialog. Refer to Systems Operation, "Setup Menu" for more information on the Setup Menu.
Use the down arrow key or the up arrow key until "Machine Settings" is highlighted. Press the "OK" key. A dialog similar to Illustration 1 appears.The dialog shows a summary of the current settings.

Press the "Edit Machine" soft key. A dialog similar to Illustration 5 will appear.

For Version 6.1, select "Dozer" from the list.

For Version 6.1, select the "GPS Receiver Type".

For Version 6.1, select "Blade Pitch".The Pitch Sensor is part of the AccuGrade System. However, the Pitch Sensor is not required for operation.Note: If the Pitch Sensor is not used, the accuracy of the GPS in manual mode will be affected.

Press the up arrow or the down arrow in order to select the appropriate radio type.Select "TCXXXC". Caterpillar systems normally use the TC900C radio or the TC450C radio.If a 3rd party radio is selected, the data is passed over RS232. Refer to Special Instruction, REHS2425, "Customer Supplied Radios" for additional information.

Scroll up or down in order to select the blade type that is needed.

Press the up arrow or the down arrow in order to select the correct valve module. For "G" series Track Type Tractors, select "VM410". For all other Track Type Tractors, select "A4:M1".

Select "Yes" for Lightbar.
Press the "OK" key.The summary "Machine Settings" dialog re-appears.
Review the selections. Press the "OK" key in order to save the settings.Once you have configured the new machine, the system sends updates to the GPS Receiver (if required). A dialog informs you that the GPS Receiver is being configured.If the changes are successful, you return to the "Setup Menu – Installation" dialog.If the changes are not successful, a dialog informs you that the GPS Receiver configuration was not updated. In order to solve this:
Make sure the GPS Receiver is being recognized by the system. In order to do this, check the "Diagnostics" dialog.
Send a GPS configuration file to the GPS Receivers by:
reselecting the current design (if the current design contains a coordinate system).
using the "GPS Receiver Configuration" item on the "Setup Menu".
Press the "ESC" key in order to exit the "Setup Menu – Installation" dialog. The changes take effect immediately.
Save the Machine Settings in the "Save Settings" dialog.
Start the Display in Service mode.
