Brake control valve (9) is located beneath the plate that is under the operator seat. The brake control valve is mounted on the top of the bevel gear case. Oil that is metered by the brake control valve is used to control the function of the brakes during machine operation. The brake control valve is operated electrically by the ECM, which responds to the operator's movement of the brake pedal or the parking brake switch.Final Drive

Steering control lever (14) is located in the cab by the left armrest.The operator uses the steering control lever to steer the machine. The lever is pushed away from the operator in order to steer left. The lever is pulled toward the operator in order to steer right.The thumb wheel for speed control (14a) can be rolled to the right in order to increase tractor speed. The thumb wheel can be rolled to the left in order to decrease tractor speed.Forward neutral reverse directional lever (14b) can be depressed in order to select the direction of travel of the tractor.Parking brake switch (14c) de-energizes the parking brake solenoid which engages both the brakes in order to prevent the machine from moving. this switch is located to the left of steering control lever (14). When the parking brake is engaged, the parking brake indicator on the dashboard will light.Note: The machine is capable of a turn in neutral if the parking brake is disengaged.If the machine is equipped with Multi Velocity Program (MVP), the machine has five speed ranges in the forward direction and five speed ranges in the reverse direction.Torque Converter

The housing for torque converter (15) is located behind the engine between the flywheel housing and the main drive shaft. The torque converter is a hydraulic connection that transfers engine power through the main drive shaft to the transmission. There is no direct mechanical connection between the engine and the main drive shaft. During operation, the torque converter multiplies torque as the
