During regular undercarriage service add shims as required to sides and bottom to obtain the specified gaps (B) and (C) in four places. If only one shim is used for adjustment, place the shim behind the wear strip on the inner leg of the track-roller frame.
Gap (B) is 2.0 1.0 mm (0.08 0.04 inch).
Gap (C) is 3.0 1.0 mm (0.12 0.04 inch).
The rubber toric seals and all the contacting surfaces must be clean and dry at assembly. Before assembly, apply a thin layer of oil to the contacting surfaces of the metal seal rings. The seal rings must be assembled square. The rubber toric seal should not bulge and the rubber toric seal should not twist. Refer to Special Instruction, SEHS8364, "Assembly and Installation of Conventional Duo-Cone Seals".
Lubricate the O-ring seals lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed
