Loosen nuts (1) .

Disconnect hose (2) .

Loosen nuts (3) . Disconnect clips (4) .

Remove bolts (5) and plate (6) .

Remove bolts (7) and bolt (8) . Repeat for the opposite side.

Attach Tooling (A) , Tooling (B) , and a suitable lifting device to guard assembly (10) . The weight of guard assembly (10) is approximately 68 kg (150 lb).
Remove plugs (9) and the bolts. Reposition guard assembly (10) . Disconnect cable strap (12) and harness assembly (11) .
Remove guard assembly (10) .

Disconnect harness assembly (13) and cable straps (14) from fuel tank (15) . Disconnect hoses (17) .
Use two people to remove fuel tank (15) . The weight of an empty fuel tank (15) is approximately 35 kg (77 lb). Remove bolts (16) and fuel tank (15) .Installation Procedure
Install fuel tank (15) in the reverse order of removal.
