Configure the Machine Type
You can configure a new machine with the "Machine Settings" dialog.
Start the display in service mode.
Press the "Menu" button.

At the "Setup Menu - Configuration" dialog, press the "Installation" soft key.

Use the down arrow key or the up arrow key in order to highlight "Machine Settings". Press the "OK" button. A screen that is similar to Illustration 3 will appear. The list of items that are under the "Machine Settings" dialog will appear.

Use the down arrow key or the up arrow key in order to highlight "Machine Type". Press the "Edit Machine" soft key (121) .A screen that is similar to Illustration 4 will appear.

Use the down arrow key or the up arrow key in order to highlight the desired machine type. Press the soft key that is for the "Forward" arrow.The display screen will advance to the next screen.

Use the down arrow key or the up arrow key in order to highlight the desired "Radio Type". Press the soft key that is for the "Back" arrow in order to return to the previous screen or the "Forward" arrow in order to advance to the next screen.
Select "TCXXXC/CRXXX".Caterpillar systems normally use the "TCXXXC/CRXXX" data radios.

Use the down arrow key or the up arrow key until the desired "Arm Sensor Type" option is highlighted. Press the soft key that is for the "Back" arrow in order to return to the previous screen or press the "Forward" arrow in order to advance to the next screen.

Use the down arrow key or the up arrow key until the desired "Lightbar" option is highlighted. Press the soft key that is for the "Back" arrow (123) in order to return to the previous screen or press the "Forward" arrow (122) in order to advance to the next screen.Refer to Illustration 7.

A "Machine Settings-Finished" screen will appear. Press the "Back" arrow (123) in order to return to the previous screen or press the "Finish" soft key (124) in order to finish the process to update the machine settings information.Refer to Illustration 8.The display screen will return to the original "Machine Settings" screen. Refer to Illustration 3.
Review the selections. Press the "OK" key in order to save the settings.
Press the "ESC" key in order to exit the "Setup Menu - Installation" dialog. The changes take effect immediately.
