Information:

1. Turn the tractor to the left 90° to the scraper. 2. Drain the transmission oil from the transmission case and differential case. Remove plugs (1) and (2) to drain the transmission oil. Capacity is approximately 29 U.S. gal. (109.8 liter). Install the plugs after the transmission oil is drained. 3. Remove cover (3) from the housing for the transmission control cable. 4. Remove bolt (7) that holds clamp (8) for the oil line in place.5. Loosen nut and bolt (6). Remove lever (4) from the shaft.6. Remove the bolts that hold housing (5) to the cover. Move the housing and transmission control cable clear of the transmission. 7. Disconnect oil lines (10) and (11) from the transfer gear case. Remove the bolts that hold clamps (9) for oil line (11) in place. 8. Remove the bolt that holds clamp (12) to the cover.9. Remove the bolts that hold clamps (13) for oil line (14) to the cover.10. Disconnect air line (15) from the cover.11. Disconnect air line (19) from the union.12. Remove the bolts that hold clamps (17) for the light wire to the cover.13. Disconnect oil lines (16) and (18) for the transmission oil cooler from the adapter.14. Use a piece of wire to hold oil line (16) clear of the adapter. 15. Disconnect wire (20) from the light. 16. Remove the bolt that holds clamp (21) to the transmission. Disconnect wire harness (22) from the transmission tractor switch. Move the harness clear of the transmission. 17. Remove cover (23) from the transfer gear case. 18. Remove retaining ring (24) from the gear. 19. Install a 3/8"-16 NC forged eyebolt in the end of shaft (25). Remove shaft (25). 20. Remove cover (26) from the transfer gear case. 21. Remove the retaining ring that holds drive shaft (27) in place. Install a 3/8"-16 NC forged eyebolt (28) in the end of drive shaft (27). Pull the drive shaft out far enough to fasten a hoist. Fasten the hoist and remove drive shaft (27). The weight is 79 lb. (36 kg).22. Remove the bolts that hold clamps (29) to the transfer gear case. 23. Remove plate (32) and rubber insulator (31). This is done so the "I" beam in Step 24 can be installed through bracket (30). 24. Install a 4 in. (10.2 cm) "I" beam (33) that is 60 in. (1.5 m) long on top of the steering link and pin and through bracket (30). Use a piece of steel (35) that is 1/8 in. (3 mm) thick, 1 in. (2.5 cm) wide and 3 in. (7.6 cm) long on each side of the pin head and a chain (34) to prevent any movement of beam (33).25. Fasten a strap and tool (A) to beam (33) as shown.26. Fasten a strap and tool (A) to the pumps as shown to hold the pumps in position when the transmission and differential are removed. 27. Remove bolts (36) that hold the pump drive to the transfer gear case.
