Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Install a new seal for the joint between the auxiliary water pump and the front housing.

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to auxiliary water pump (2). The weight of auxiliary water pump (2) is approximately 83 kg (182 lb). Note: Prior to installation of the auxiliary water pump, a visual inspection of the gear train must be completed. All gears in the front gear train must be inspected in order to ensure that any damage to gear teeth is repaired.
Place auxiliary water pump (2) on the front housing. Ensure that the gear for the auxiliary water pump is properly meshed with the idler gear. Note: Ensure that the auxiliary water pump is primed prior to start-up.
Install bolts (1) that attach auxiliary water pump (2) to the front housing.
