1. Loosen hose clamps (2), and remove hose (1) from the compressor housing of the turbocharger. 2. Loosen hose clamp (4), and remove hose (3) from the turbocharger. straps.3. Disconnect oil supply tube (5) and oil drain tube (8) from the turbocharger.4. Remove four bolts (7) and the nuts that hold turbocharger (6) to the exhaust manifold. Remove the turbocharger from the muffler. The following steps are for the installation of the turbocharger.
Before four bolts (11) and the nuts which hold the turbocharger to the exhaust manifold are tightened, all oil tubes, air pipes and exhaust pipes should be aligned and tightened without binding.
5. Check the condition of the gasket used between the turbocharger and the exhaust manifold. If the gasket is worn or damaged, use a new part for replacement.6. Put the gasket and turbocharger (6) in position on the exhaust manifold and in the muffler. Put 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of bolts (7) that hold the turbocharger to the exhaust manifold. Install the four bolts and nuts, but do not tighten them at this time.7. Check the condition of the gaskets used on oil supply tube (5) and oil drain tube (8). If the gaskets are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. Connect the oil supply tube and the oil drain tube to the turbocharger.8. Position hose (3) on the turbocharger, and tighten hose clamp (4).9. Position hose (1) on the compressor housing of the turbocharger, and tighten hose clamps (2).10. Tighten four bolts (7) that hold the turbocharger to the exhaust manifold to a torque of 54 5 N m (40 4 lb ft).
