Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the electronic control module (power train). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Electronic Control Module (Power Train) - Remove and Install". Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the removal procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

Remove four bolts (1) in order to remove two plate assemblies (2) from VIDS/VIMS electronic control (3). Installation Procedure

Verify that all of the components of VIDS/VIMS electronic control (3) are clean and free of foreign material prior to installation.
Inspect all of the components for wear and replace the components, if necessary.
Use four bolts (1) in order to install two plate assemblies (2) to VIDS/VIMS electronic control (3), as shown. End By:
Install the electronic control module (power train). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Electronic Control Module (Power Train) - Remove and Install".
