Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Do not connect or disconnect hose fittings to or from the quick disconnect nipples when there is pressure in the system. This will prevent damage to the seals that are in the fitting.

Note: Make sure that the filters and the screens are clean before you test any pressures. Make sure that the oil is at operating temperature before you perform these tests.Note: All tests and all adjustments must be made while the transmission oil is at normal operating temperature.
Move the machine to a smooth, horizontal location that is away from operating machines and away from personnel.
Permit only one operator on the machine. Keep all other personnel away from the machine or in the operator sight.
Rotate the steering wheel to a NEUTRAL position.
Move the transmission control to park to engage the parking brake.
Lower or retract the implements.
Stop the engine.
Turn the key to the ON position, but do not start the engine.
Verify that the implement controls are UNLOCKED.
Move the control levers through the full range of travel several times. Moving the control levers should relieve any pressure that may be present in the implement hydraulic system.

Connect tooling (T1) to test port (1) as shown in the Illustration above.Test Procedure - Transmission Lubrication Oil Pressure
Ensure that the area is free of personnel and start the machine.
Operate the machine at high idle.
Read the pressure at test port (1). Compare the pressures to the values in Table1 in the"Specifications" section.
When the tests are complete, shutdown the machine
