Start To Move Test
Reference: Testing and Adjusting Module, RENR2860, "216 and 226 Skid Steer Loader Hydraulic and Power Train Systems", "Start to Move Test"Reference: Testing and Adjusting Module, RENR2875, "236 and 246 Skid Steer Loader Hydraulic and Power TrainSystems", "Start to Move Test"The Start To Move Test that follows replaces the tests that are referenced above. The Start To Move Test should be performed after "Test A, Baseline for the Hydrostatic System" has been completed.Perform the start to move test procedure for the piston pump (hydrostatic) in order to make sure that the piston pump (hydrostatic) is synchronized. If the pump is not synchronized the machine could drift or the machine could move in the NEUTRAL position. If the pump is not synchronized the wheels on one side of the machine could start to move before the wheels on the other side of the machine start to move.Note: If the left wheels and the right wheels start to move at the same time, this test is not required.Note: If the drive chains are not adjusted correctly, the left wheels and the right wheels may not start to move at the same time.
Disconnect the two test hose assemblies for the case drain pressure taps. Attach the test hose assemblies to the two pilot pressure taps on the piston pump (hydrostatic).
Install one 6V-3989 Fitting to a 8T-0857 Pressure Gauge. Perform this step twice.
Install one 8T-0857 Pressure Gauge with range 0 to 40000 kPa (5800 psi) to one end of the 6V-3014 Hose Assembly. Perform this step twice.Note: Perform the test on the front section of the pump first. The front section of the pump powers the piston motor (hydrostatic) on the left side of the machine.
