Replacing Cutter Flashing
INADVERTENT ENGAGEMENT OF THE CUTTER CAN CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY. SHUT THE ENGINE DOWN, LOCK THE CUTTER CONTROL AT "OFF", AND REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION SWITCH BEFORE WORKING NEAR THE CUTTER.
The various pieces of cutter flashing are held in place by holddown strips. To replace a piece of flashing remove the bolts from the holddown strip, position the new flashing and the holddown strip, then re-install the bolts.Replacing A Slide Plate Skid
1. Raise the mainframe to its upper limit and block it up, then SHUT THE ENGINE DOWN.
INADVERTENT ENGAGEMENT OF THE CUTTER CAN CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY. SHUT THE ENGINE DOWN, LOCK THE CUTTER CONTROL AT "OFF", AND REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION SWITCH BEFORE WORKING NEAR THE CUTTER.
2. Remove the capscrews that connect the skid to the slide plate and move the skid away.3. Position the new skid and install the capscrews.4. Remove the blocks from under the mainframe.Replacing The Moldboard Blade
1. Raise the mainframe to the upper limit, block the mainframe up, and SHUT THE ENGINE DOWN.
INADVERTENT ENGAGEMENT OF THE CUTTER CAN CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY. SHUT THE ENGINE DOWN, LOCK THE CUTTER CONTROL AT "OFF", AND REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION SWITCH BEFORE WORKING NEAR THE CUTTER.
2. Remove the nuts from all but the two end plow bolts.3. Remove the blocks from under the mainframe, place 4 to 6 inch blocks under the left slide plate, start the engine, lower the mainframe until the moldboard is just touching the ground, then SHUT THE ENGINE DOWN.4. Remove the nuts from the end plow bolts, free the plow bolts from the moldboard, and pull the blade out the left side of the machine.5. Slide the new blade into position and install the end plow bolts. 6. Start the engine, raise the mainframe to the upper limit, block the mainframe up, and SHUT THE ENGINE DOWN.7. Install the rest of the plow bolts.8. Remove the blocks from under the mainframe.Replacing The Moldboard Wear Plate
1. Raise the mainframe to the upper limit, lower the moldboard to the lower limit, block the mainframe up, and SHUT THE ENGINE DOWN.

1. Raise the mainframe, lower the moldboard to the lower limit then lower the mainframe until the moldboard just is resting on the ground. Block up the mainframe and SHUT THE ENGINE DOWN.
