KIT-SEAL 5241082 - Caterpillar

Problem
The track motor hydraulic tube assemblies may crack at the flange that bolts to the track motors. The crack will cause leaking to occur in the travel motor area.

To access tube assemblies, remove 5 covers from the rear and 2 covers from the underside of undercarriage frame assembly. Remove clamps that hold tube assemblies on undercarriage frame. Replace both sets of 874945 and 874967 Tube Assemblies with new tubes from the Caterpillar Parts Department. The new tubes have an improved 4I1018 Flange. Install the tube assembly clamps and 7 covers on the undercarriage frame assembly. See Illustration 1.
