"Set/menu" button
"Set/menu" button (6) has two functions.Set Mode
Set mode is used in order to change the reference number that is viewed on the display to a desired value.Press and hold "set/menu" button (6) . Dial in the desired value by using grade adjustment knob (8) . Both the grade indicator lights and the double arrows will be illuminated.Release the "set/menu" button (6) in order to store the value.Note: Using "set/menu" button (6) will not change the existing mat thickness. The set mode will only change the reference number that is viewed on the display. This procedure can be done during paving.Menu Mode
The menu mode will give the operator access to the performance menu. Also, the menu mode will give the operator access to technicians menu. Press and hold the "set/menu" button (6) while the power to the control box is turned off. Turn on the power to the control box. This sets the control box to the performance menu.Grade Adjustment Knob
The grade adjustment knob is used in order to make measured adjustments to the cross slope or the elevation. The grade adjustment knob will adjust the height for the Sonic Tracker II® or the contact sensor when you select the elevation control. The grade adjustment knob will adjust the percentage of slope when the cross slope control is selected.Grade Adjustment

(1) Rotate the knob counterclockwise in order to reach grade. (2) Rotate the knob clockwise in order to reach grade.The red arrows around the grade adjustment knob will illuminate. The directional arrows will indicate the way to turn the knob in order to achieve "On Grade".Power Switch
Press power switch (9) upward in order to turn the power to the control box. To turn off the power on the control box, press power switch (9) downward.Lower Control Box

The serial number plate (1) contains the Topcon® System Five part number and the Topcon® System Five serial number.Cable Connections
The power system and the signal system communicate between the Topcon® System Five components along these connections (5) .Audible Beeper
When the power is turned to the ON position, the audible beeper (3) will sound. When the system is calibrated, the audible beeper (3) will sound. The audible beeper may be turned to the ON position or the OFF position by using the calibration mode for the audible beeper.Mounting Pad
Mounting pad (2) and mounting pad (4) are used in order to secure the control box to the mounting bracket.Control Box Memory
The control box automatically stores all the operating information when the control box is turned to the OFF position.Note: If there is an interruption in the power supply to the control box within two seconds of making an adjustment, the settings will not be stored.
