(3) Right planetary drive (4) Right drag conveyor motorThe right planetary drive is located next to the engine fan on the right side of the machine.The left and right drag conveyor motors turn the left and right planetary drives. The planetary drives are a means for increasing the torque input to the drive chain for the drag conveyors. The planetary drive converts the low torque/high rpm from the drag conveyor motor to a higher torque/lower rpm to the drive chain for the drag conveyor. The ratio between the drag conveyor motor input rpm and the planetary drive output rpm is 19.9 to 1.Operation

Sprocket (7) is on output shaft (10) for the planetary drive.The right drag conveyor motor turns right planetary drive (3). The planetary drive turns sprocket (7) that turns chain (8). Chain (8) turns sprocket (9). Sprocket (9) and sprockets (10) are keyed to the same shaft. Sprockets (10) will engage the drive chain for the drag conveyor. As a result, when the drag conveyor motor turns, the drag conveyor will move.Chain (8) can be tightened by adjusting bolts (11) .
