Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Position the gasket on the exhaust manifold.
Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of the exhaust manifold studs.
Attach a suitable lifting device to turbocharger (1) . The weight of the turbocharger is approximately 34 kg (75 lb). Position turbocharger (1) on the exhaust manifold.Note: Discard the locknuts after use. Use new locknuts for installation.
Install locknuts (5) and tighten finger tight.
Connect tube assembly (4) .
Position tube assembly (2) and the gasket (not shown). Tighten the bolts that secure the tube assembly to a torque of 25 6 N m (18 4 lb ft). Tighten the bolts to a final torque of 47 9 N m (35 6 lb ft).
Connect tube assembly (3) and tube assembly (6) .
Tighten locknuts (5) to a torque of 55 5 N m (41 4 lb ft).
Fill the cooling system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change".
